I don't want to do this but it needs to be asked, are you a Social Justice Warrior? There are some insidious effect of western/American media that people don't know about, which I think is important for Asian in Asia to know. Our conversation concerns everyone who consumes western/American media.

Okay? Get some self respect and don't let it influence you? This influence one's self esteem and one's behavior more than you think.

Maybe that's cause Malaysians don't produce as much media and entertainment as the West and don't sell it to the rest of the world as much? Seriously, we would probably only have like ten movies a year showing in theaters if we were to cut out all Western or foreign movies. Almost everyone in SE Asia/Malaysia have listened to western/American songs. Some of the most highly watched movies in SE Asia/Malaysia are western/Americans. What social media bubble do you view the world from? The urban English educated liberal bubble? In addition to Westerners in Western media, Malaysians also worship local Malay celebrities, K-pop artists, etc. Some of the most popular stars in SE Asian/Malaysian social media (as I saw it) are western/Americans. However, I definitely see western/American media having a lot of influence in SE Asia/Malaysia. This is where you begin to sound like an SJW bud Jerit lagi kuat yo, there's plenty of places in Chow Kit to do that. Seems like only fools call others the same. Per Malaysian protocol - kena ignore and go about your business. I was walking in Chow Kit earlier, and there was a dude who was yelling gibberish to everybody. Don't have history books in your school or what, so they sent a Spanish teacher? Whether ingrained superiority is still present today, is certainly open to debate, but you've shut yourself down and out from learning since you've already become an expert here konon. So now colonial now means anybody and everybody, including halflings that don't speak English? Don't remember Malaysia being colonized and administered by Spanish teachers or Spaniards (which btw the English were at war with for a good while) ? At least two centuries of civilization being molded by the British, with deliberate segregation of race, even religion where Anglicans are on the top, for the benefit of some Anglo-Saxon (do you even know what that means?) protestant king/queen somewhere. Not that your anecdote is completely invalid, but you degraded your own argument and mixed up your cause and effect in one post.
