But I can play movies, CD's, etc., with quite perfect sound (plain desktop speakers). Thereafter the rest of the icons to the left of the time start appearing (network status, speaker, etc.). Now, here's what's (for me, in any case!) strange: when I reboot, then after about 6 seconds of those 3 little blue blocks that move across the Windows spash screen from left to right, the sound of the TV comes through perfectly, but only for seconds, and disappears the moment that my desktop appears with its icons, and (if this helps anyone) with only the time showing in the bottom right corner. The video records perfectly, but with no sound. This is the setup I've got: 3 wire leads come from the TV's RCA outputs (audio L&R,video out) into the RCA inputs of the 2800D, which in turn plugs into my EliteGroup ECS 945GCT-M2/1333 v1.0A motherboard's onboard soundcard line-in, and into a USB port.
My problem is no sound when trying to record from my TV using a KWORLD VS-USB2800D unit, with Ulead DVD MovieFactory 4.0 (also Cyberlink PowerDirector v5).
